View Storage Group Demand Reports

Storage groups are a collection of devices that are stored on the storage system. An application, a server, or a collection of servers use them.

About this task

This procedure explains how to view storage groups on an SRP and their associated workloads.

To view storage group demand reports:

Steps

  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Select Capacity to open the Capacity dashboard.
  3. Select an SRP instance from the drop-down menu and in the Actions panel, click Storage Group Demand.
    Some or all the following properties display:
    • Storage Group—Name of the storage group
    • Emulation—Emulation type - displays only if the storage system is capable of containing CKD devices.
    • Provisioned (GB)—Amount of SRP capacity to which the storage group subscribed
    • Effective Used (GB)—The effective used capacity (in GB)
    • Effective Used (%)—The effective used capacity (percentage)
    • Physical Used (GB)—The physical used capacity (in GB)
    • Compression Ratio—The compression ratio
    • Snap Effective Used (GB)—The effective used capacity used by snapshots
    • Snapshot Physical Used (GB)—The physical used capacity used by snapshots
    • Snapshot Compression Ratio—The snapshot compression ratio
    • Unreducible Used (GB)—Unreducible Used (GB)
    • Snapshot Unreducible Used (GB)—Snapshot Unreducible Used (GB)

    The following control is available:

    • An icon showing a downward-pointing arrow symbol—Exports the report to a CSV or PDF file.
